Weaving fabric is an ancient practice that spans both time and culture. Through centuries, the loom evolved to be the titan of all fabric creation. Although the loom became the catalyst for fast fashion, it also is the cultivator for turning thread into clothing, fabrics into blankets, and textiles into art.
And we at Tex have been weaving art since 1987.
Mastering weaving techniques have been passed down through generations, preserving and celebrating cultural heritage and identity. The invention and evolution of looms spurred the growth of the textile industry, which in turn drove advancements in trade, fashion, and technology.
In the context of looms and weaving, understanding the terms ‘weft’ and ‘warp’ is essential, as these two components form the foundation of the woven fabric. The warp and weft threads interlace to create various patterns and textures that contribute to the distinctive characteristics of a Tex’s Yarn Dyed Collection like Hued Metallicas made on our in-house Looms in our Gurgaon facility. Our in-house Green Looms are operating day and night on renewable source of energy to weave our recycled polyester tapes required by our factories across the world for making sustainable zippers.
